Hemingway: Not Androgynous

  1. LOL @ Key West. I mean, the whole post was hilarious (I love the faces you made) but Key West got me. My father-in-law used to travel there a lot for work (he was a CPA and had clients everywhere) and said that Kenny Chesney runs around there, "celebrating his gayness". Probably one of the funniest things I've ever heard the man say, even in his half-dementia'd state.

  2. Do. Not. Even mention The Grapes of Wrath to me. All of literature is to blame for that book.

  3. I hate Steinbeck. And Catcher of the Rye, but that's Salinger.

I'm pretty sure the "Most Interesting Man in the World" campaign was centered around Hemmingway. I kind-of admire anyone who can drink his weight, daily.

  4. Ernest is my guy! I love his style. So short and sweet.

Baby shoes for sale. Never worn.

  5. I need to know, was Hemmingway sober during this argument? Or was he hung over? He sounded like he was 1/2 way into his glass. Sober always wins in intellectual arguments. Great post!

  6. Dude. Is it really true he was influenced by Fitzgerald? Because if so, hate. If not, I loves me some drunk, rambling E.
